SCRIPTURE
“For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sin” Matthew 26:28 (KJV).
MESSAGE
The Greek word used for remission in the above scriptures is the word “aphesis”, which means the total removal or blotting away of sins. The remission of sin is for the unbeliever because he needs to get his sins remitted by believing with his heart and confessing with his mouth the Lordship of Jesus to be born again. Hebrews 9:22 says, “For without the shedding of blood, there couldn’t be remission for sin”. The blood of Jesus Christ was shed for the remission of your sins. Your redemption is in Christ Jesus and it is eternal. The Bible says, “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” Ephesians 1:7 (KJV).
Being born again, God got rid of your sinful nature and gave you His righteous nature. In Christ Jesus, you have remission of sins. Do not live anymore with the consciousness of sin, but instead be righteousness conscious. Any time Satan reminds you of your sin, you ought to remind him of the death of Jesus on the Cross, through which your sins were remitted.
PRAYER / CONFESSION
Dear Father, I thank you for remitting my sins by the precious blood the Lord Jesus. There is therefore now, no condemnation for me because I am in Christ Jesus. I walk not after the flesh but after the spirit. I live with righteousness consciousness and sin shall not rule over me. I am the redeemed in Christ and I have right standing with God in the name of the Lord Jesus
