SCRIPTURE
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” John 1:12 (KJV).
MESSAGE
The day you gave your life to Christ, that instant your spirit is born again as the new creation in Christ Jesus, without a past. The new creation is the one who has believed in the Lord Jesus with his/her heart and confessed The Lord Jesus as Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9-10). This process is called being born again; it is a one-time experience. By receiving the Lord Jesus, you are given power, and the ability to be the sons of God. Instantly you are translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of God’s dear son Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:13). You are born to live this new life of the spirit because God is a spirit.
Every creature must be connected to its source for sustenance. Because you are born again by the Word of God, you need the Word of God daily which is your spiritual food so you can grow in God, and live the God-kind of life. Meditate on the Word, listen to inspired preaching, and act on the Word. Your appropriation of the benefits of salvation is an ongoing process, and it is based on the revelation in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus. As you behold the Word you are constantly conforming to the image of God consciously from glory to glory.
PRAYER / CONFESSION
Dear Father, I thank You, for making me a new creation in Christ. The old has passed away, and I am made new by Your Spirit. I am now a citizen of Your kingdom, filled with Your Spirit and empowered to live a life pleasing to You. I grow daily in the knowledge of Your Word, embracing my new identity in Christ. I declare that I am led by Your Spirit, empowered, transformed, and walking in victory in the name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.
