APRIL 15 – THE LORD JESUS WAS RESURRECTED

SCRIPTURE

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,  and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.” 1 Corinthians 15: 3-6 (NIV).

MESSAGE

The sin debt was paid by His death, but His resurrection brought us justification for a new life. Romans 4:23-25  says, “Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” The Lord Jesus is the first begotten of the dead, which means He is the first to be born again out of spiritual death; the resurrection was the sign. (Acts 13:33). The new creation is the fruit of His resurrection (2 Corinthians 5:17). Thank God that Jesus resurrected, and has given us access to the Father.

PRAYER / CONFESSION

Heavenly Father, I thank You that Jesus ascended into heaven, completing the work of redemption and obtaining eternal life for us. I believe that He is seated at Your right hand, interceding for me. Being born again, I am seated with Him in heavenly places, empowered to live a life of victory and authority. I rejoice that I am united with Christ, and I declare that I walk in the fullness of His life, power, and blessing. Amen.

WISDOM NUGGET

“And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power. Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places. … And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church.” Ephesians 1:19-20, 22 (KJV)
